According to Joel, this is how it happened. Noah's pole got a bite, so Joel tried to set the hook but was unsuccessful. This happened two more times. The fourth time, Joel set the hook and just about lost the pole because the fish fought so hard. He then gave the pole to Noah so he could reel it in. The fish just about took the pole AND Noah in the pond, so Daddy had to hold on tight. When they finally got the fish to shore, they found a monster! He was 22 inches long (he'd be 23 if he had a normal size tail). Noah was so proud of himself! He was the only one who got a fish. It looks like he's going to take after his Daddy. They already have so much fun going on fishing trips, and it's just going to get better and better. Good job Noah!

That is so cute. I love it when dads take there kids fishing.
Marianne, I had to share this with you, since you've had experience with a precocious little boy who calls people monkeys, and is fascinated by black people:

She's one of my friends from high school, and I'm pretty sure you'll gasp and laugh over what her son said. Hope you don't mind me commenting and mentioning your child. Seriously, go! And go fast!
