I know I already posted these pictures. I just wanted to talk about my boy sewing projects and these are the only pictures I have of the things I've sewn for Noah.
It took me a long time to start sewing for Noah because I just didn't think there was anything out there that would get me excited about sewing for a boy. Let's face it, girls are just so much fun to sew for! But after Noah asked me why I don't sew clothes for him, I decided it was time to stop ignoring him and start getting out of my sewing comfort zone.
So far, I've made him these shorts, another pair from the same pattern, a hat (it turned out cute but too big, so I'll have to give it another try), and a tie. I have also made Baby Boy some little seersucker pants and hat. I wish I had pictures to show off all these. I've learned from making these tings that sewing for a boy really can be fun, and I've found some places of inspiration that have me even more excited about it.
There are some cute patterns on etsy, but my two favorite places for boy inspiration are the blogs MADE and Made-by-Rae. You have to visit these sites. I am blown away by the creativity of these two moms. They inspire me so much! I also love Make It and Love it. Also so creative and inspiring.
Dana at MADE has been dedicating her blog to the summer boy, and I'm loving it. I'm already itching to get home and go to work. But, I must have patience, especially since when I do get home I'll have a new baby to take care of. Noah may have to wait a little longer for more things, but they will happen eventually.
Have fun sewing for your boys!

Hmmmm...I may have to rethink my sewing inspiration. Maybe one of these days when I get back into a sewing frenzy, I'll try something for Sy.
Ok, so have you seen the tie onesies? Its not REALLY sewing. Its just attaching material shaped as a tie to a onesie but it looks SO cute! Here is the link in case you are interested. Hang in there!! :)

Hey Marianne :) Man, have I been out of the loop!! What can I do for you? I just read your past 5 blog posts or so, and am so glad to hear that you're doing well. I'm just two weeks ahead of you-just hit the 30 week milestone and I feel like I have a freight train on my heels it's coming so fast ;) I love all the sewing you're doing for you boys-that's an amazing talent you have! I'll pray for your sweet little guy to come healthy and not too early.
