Clara Jane Orton arrived Sunday, November 11th, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. She weighed 7 lbs. and 6 oz. and measured 19 1/2 in. She was almost a c-section, but we got lucky. What a blessing she is to our little family. It was love at first sight for all of us.
She is such a beautiful baby. We call her our little dolly. Every feature is petit- her mouth, her nose, her ears, everything except her toes. She got her daddy's monkey toes, poor thing. She also has her dad's big curious eyes, but so far, it looks like they'll be blue like her mom. That makes Dad very happy.
She is such a joy! We just don't know what we did without her! We wouldn't trade her for anything.
It was instant love for brother and sister. Noah loves to hold her and kiss her and help her when she's sad. He is very good at giving her the binky when she cries. One night Noah was upstairs in the tub, and Clara and I were downstairs when she started to cry. Pretty soon here comes Noah, naked and wet, saying "Don't worry baby! I'm coming!" What a sweet brother.
